.lumen, a Romanian deep-tech startup, was recognized at CES 2026 for its Glasses for the Blind, the world’s first assistive mobility device that replicates a guide dog using AI and haptic feedback, empowering independence for millions of visually impaired and older adults.

.lumen, a Romanian startup developing AI-powered glasses for the blind, joins Europe’s VR Health Champions consortium. Co-funded by the EU, the project will support the development and testing of the second-generation “self-driving glasses” across multiple countries and cultures.
