.lumen, a Romanian deep-tech startup, was recognized at CES 2026 for its Glasses for the Blind, the world’s first assistive mobility device that replicates a guide dog using AI and haptic feedback, empowering independence for millions of visually impaired and older adults.

This 10–14 November, part of the .lumen team is heading to Lisbon for our very first Web Summit. We’ve been nominated as an Impact Startup, joining one of the world’s largest technology gatherings, where more than 70,000 founders, investors, and innovators will converge to shape the future of tech.

.lumen, a Romanian startup developing AI-powered glasses for the blind, joins Europe’s VR Health Champions consortium. Co-funded by the EU, the project will support the development and testing of the second-generation “self-driving glasses” across multiple countries and cultures.
