Designed in Romania. Built for the world. Powered by NVIDIA.

Five years ago, we were a handful of engineers in Cluj with a radical idea: to bring autonomy to people who had never had it. To offer the same benefits as the guide dog, which is expensive, rare, and limited.

We started with code, hope, and failure—thousands of them. Until one day, a blind person put on our glasses and walked independently for the first time.

Today, that tech runs on NVIDIA.

An edge AI system that sees the world in real-time, processes depth, motion, and obstacles in milliseconds, and guides the user using haptics, a subtle pull of the head that feels instinctive, like a guide dog’s lead. Tested by over 300 blind individuals in more than 30 countries, our glasses are now CE certified in Europe and ready for commercialisation.

From June 13 to 14, we’ll be at VivaTech and NVIDIA GTC Paris, booth G12-038, with the glasses. We’re featured on NVIDIA's VivaTech dedicated page as partners, and we’re demoing live what many believed impossible.

Furthermore, .lumen is one of 6 global finalists for the Tech for Change Award at VivaTech 2025. On June 11 at 2:25 PM, founder Cornel Amariei will pitch live from the Pitch Studio. The winner will be announced on June 12 at 5:45 PM on Stage One.

But one moment we’ll never forget came last year.

.lumen opened NVIDIA GTC 2024 in front of 11,000 people in the room as part of the I AM AI video.

Behind every demo, behind every patent, there’s a team from Romania that dared to dream.

The future shouldn’t leave anyone behind.
