Last year, EIT Health announced its selected startups for the 2020 Headstart programme. .lumen was one of the 96 startups selected to receive mentoring and business support, as well as €40,000 and a spot in the EIT Health Headstart InnoStars Grand Final. .lumen was also one of the winners of the Grand Final, winning an additional €10,000.
The EIT Health Headstart programme helps to accelerate the development and time-to-market of innovative products for European audiences. It helps companies navigate the steps necessary for development, including verification of the clinical, patient, or system need for the product or service. Additionally, financial aid of up to €40,000 is awarded to semifinalists.
The InnoStars Awards is the Grand Final of the EIT Health Headstart programme. This pitching competition helps startups present their business plan to an international jury consisting of healthcare professionals, representatives of EIT Health core industrial partners, and market experts. Winning teams receive an additional €10,000.
