Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge 2021 unveils .lumen as a finalist

.lumen among the finalists of the Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge 2021


Out of 1745 competing teams, .lumen is proud to pass the semi-final stage and be one of the 42 finalists in the 2021 Global Problem Solver Challenge!



In its 5th year, the Global Problem Solver Challenge awards $1 Million in prizes to early-stage tech entrepreneurs solving the world’s toughest problems by innovative ideas that benefit society, catalyze economic growth, and create jobs.


In the previous years, winners addressed environmental challenges, animal preservation, and cancer research. .lumen's mission seeks to address visual impairment problems and raise awareness for blind people around the world.


Currently, .lumen is competing for one of the 20 prizes: 3 regional first runner-ups, 3 second runners-up, 3 third runners-up, the grand prize, people’s choice award, and Cisco Employees’ choice award, with an additional 5 special prizes.

The awarding ceremony will take place on the 27th of June.


.lumen builds an assistive system that mimics the main advantages of a guide dog, without the drawbacks that make one a non-scalable option.
